About Best Friendz

Best Friendz opened March 25th, 2006, in response to the need for an upscale pet boutique in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The store is owned and operated by, husband and wife team, Byron and Kelley Weeks.

Byron and Kelley owned Petz Alternative approximately 13 years ago. Their knowledge of dog products is extensive. Best Friendz offers its customers specialty items that cannot be found in most chain pet stores. They invested a lot of time in researching information on the treats and the items they sell.




"We saw the need for fresh dog treats in the area, so we decided to open the shop."

Byron bakes many of the dog treats sold at Best Friendz. The other treats are purchased by select bakeries from around the country. The treats sold at Best Friendz have no preservatives and are a healthy and tasty, alternative to the norm.

Best Friendz also offers full service grooming by Stephanie. Stephanie has been professionally grooming for over 8 years and is certified through the National Dog Groomers Association of America. With her knowledge of all breeds she can hand scissor or hand strip most dogs. Stephanie also has experience with creative canine styling and color. So whether your pooch needs a full groom or just their nails clipped Stephanie can help.

This store is not your typical pet shop. Your dog is welcome to come in for a free treat or maybe try on some new clothes. New items arrive every other week so stop by and see what is new.
